Meet Dr. Joann Richichi
“While growing old is not an option, feeling old is.”
– Joann Richichi, D.O.
Education & Treatment Philosophy
Dr. Joann Richichi was born and raised in New York City. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wagner College with a double major in art and science. She graduated medical school with honors from Western University in California. She moved to New Jersey for her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at JFK Hospital. She is a Board Certified Fellow in Obstetrics & Gynecology, and she is certified in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Dr. Richichi specializes in using a personalized approach to treating her patients with hormonal deficiencies. She is passionate about helping her patients look and feel rejuvenated through a scientific and natural approach of age management. She believes that “While growing old is not an option, feeling old is.”
Dr. Richichi also specializes in weight loss. She first became interested in weight management after treating so many menopausal and andropausal women and men who were extremely frustrated by the weight they gained as an inevitable consequence of aging. Realizing the harm weight gain can do to all aspects of one’s health and well-being, Dr. Richichi became committed to helping reverse the debilitating signs and symptoms of metabolic syndrome.
Her goal is to lead her patients to an ultimate place of total health by promoting both physical and emotional happiness. She uses a variety of treatment options and supplements based on her patient’s individual lifestyle requirements, goals and objectives, and metabolic needs. She is passionate about reversing the serious and debilitating symptoms associated with metabolic syndrome, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, stroke, and early death.
Treatment Through Personal Experience
Dr. Richichi herself underwent a horrible and debilitating menopause. She had always been dissatisfied with the treatment options she was able to offer her patients and became interested in alternative medicine while struggling herself with weight gain, insomnia, and memory loss during her early menopausal years. When she used a variety of those options on herself without any appreciable improvement, she knew it was time to research alternative means of therapy. After taking many courses and doing much research in the field of age management and regenerative integrative medicine, she realized the inadequacies of certain aspects of traditional conventional medicine in the effective treatment of menopause and andropause. She has successfully found the way to help men and women regain their youthful vibrancy and balance through the use of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
She has been extremely successful in reversing the signs and symptoms of depression, apathy, fatigue, weight gain, loss of mental clarity, diabetes, high cholesterol, decreased libido, high blood pressure, and osteoporosis.
While she incorporates aspects of traditional medicine in her practice, she has helped many patients achieve the mind-body connection so important to living a healthy, happy, and long life through the use of alternative medical management, diet, exercise, and hormonal balance.
Dr. Richichi offers years of clinical experience gained through her own personal and professional journey. She has put her experience and knowledge into creating Re-Vita’ Life so that she can effectively help her patients achieve the lifestyle intervention they need to become revitalized.
